She and Arnold Anderson were married July 1, 1937 in Austin, Minnesota. Mr. and Mrs. Anderson operated the Anderson Funeral Home in Iowa Falls for many years. They retired in 1972. Mrs. Anderson passed away on October 1, 1977. Following her death, Arnold Anderson established the “Jane Anderson Memorial Trust” in her memory. Funds from the trust are awarded annually to an Iowa Falls High School student to be used to defray costs of attending Ellsworth Community College. This trust was to expire at the end of 20 years at which time the remainder of the trust was transferred to the Ellsworth College Board of Trustees. The Trustees, at their meeting of August 20, 1997, took action to supplement these funds to establish an endowed scholarship with the Ellsworth College Foundation to continue this scholarship memorial annually for an Iowa Falls High School graduate. Mrs. Anderson is survived by her son, Wood, of Mason City, Iowa. Her husband, Arnold, passed away June 9, 1994 and her daughter, Mrs. Verlynn (Janene) Mensing, passed away on September 2, 2001.
