Liberty Bank was founded in May 1998 by a group of investors led by W.A. Krause, the president of the Krause-Gentle Corporation, which owns the Kum & Go convenience store chain and Solar Transport which transports petroleum products, acquired the Lakes National Bank in Arnolds Park, Iowa. Beginning with a vision of creating a vibrant, progressive banking organization that blends the spirit and service of a community bank with the strength and resources of large bank, Liberty Bank has become a statewide banking network, offering 30 full-service locations across Iowa, including the branch here in Iowa Falls, plus expanded locations in Illinois and Florida. 
 From the start, Liberty Bank’s foundation has been built on a commitment to community banking and exemplary customer service.
