Scenic City Kiwanis Endowed Scholarship

The Scenic City Kiwanis Club was started in 1963 as a sister club to the Eldora Kiwanis Club.  Members of Iowa Falls came together to create the club as a way to support the children of the scenic city and beyond.  The founding members set out to create an organization that invited business leaders, educators, & other professionals, all men & women to be part of something greater then themselves, to help make an impact in the Iowa Falls area.   
Years of raising funds to support the local youth, included support to the cub scouts, parks and recreation department, schools, & other local events.  The Kiwanis club also offered a scholarship to one local recipient each year who attended Ellsworth College.  This scholarship is being funded for years to come by the generosity of the Kiwanis Club as well as the great people of Iowa Falls. 
To the recipient of this scholarship: 
It is our hope that the scholarship you are receiving will be of great benefit towards your education.  When you are done with your education and you settle into a career be sure to look for opportunities where ever you may live, and be involved in your community.  It is groups like the Kiwanis that make so much we do available and accessible to so many. 
Congratulations to you and from all the many members who served as a Scenic City Kiwanians.  We wish you the very best! Our Kiwanis Group disbanded in 2019 but will continue to support students at Ellsworth Community College with this Endowed Scholarship.​
