Raymond Stockdale, born on July 2, 1947, in Iowa Falls, Iowa, to Thomas and Maggie Stockdale, experienced his early education at Macy No. 13 Country School and later graduated from Iowa Falls Schools in 1965. His pursuit of knowledge led him to Ellsworth Community College, where he earned his AA Degree in 1972 and continued his educational journey at the University of Northern Iowa with a business major. Kathy Kemp, born on November 16, 1950, in Vinton, Iowa, to Felix (Rex) Kemp and Marian Maxine Zimmerman Kemp, embarked on a life dedicated to education and community service. Her educational journey began at Vinton Community School, culminating in her graduation in 1969. From 1969 to 1973, Kathy pursued her Bachelor of Education Degree at the University of Northern Iowa, laying the foundation for a future of nurturing young minds. Raymond served in the Army as an E-5 Specialist from 1966 to 1969, demonstrating his dedication and sacrifice for the greater good. Raymond's journey into agriculture began in 1970 when he took on the role of a farmer. His resilient spirit and unwavering dedication to the land have been the driving forces behind the success of the family farm. Kathy contributed to the Des Moines public schools from 1974 -1976 and to the Iowa Falls Community School as an educational instructor from 1977 to 1981. The union of Raymond and Kathy on August 7, 1976, marked the beginning of a shared life filled with love and commitment. Together, they welcomed two children into their lives, Katie Rae Stockdale born November 7, 1981, and Kurtis Thomas Stockdale born August 18, 1984. When Raymond and Kathy became parents, Kathy was blessed to be a stay-at-home mother and play an active role in their farming business. Both children, inspired by their parents' commitment to education, pursued transfer classes from Ellsworth Community College to further their studies at Iowa State University. Katie achieved her master's degree in Neuroscience from the University of Hartford in Connecticut, while Kurtis earned his Engineering Degree from ISU and now farms with his parents and owns a metal fabrication business. Raymond and Kathy, attend the Iowa Falls Evangelical Free Church, exemplify a life dedicated to faith, community, and the joy of giving. Kathy has served as a Sunday School teacher, on the Praise Team and is known as "the cookie lady" for her heartfelt tradition of baking Monster Cookies to celebrate church members' birthdays. Raymond and Kathy also worked together in the AWANA program at church. Raymond and Kathy currently serve and have served in their community with heartfelt commitment. Raymond a long-standing member of the American Legion Post 188 Iowa Falls. Kathy the past President of the Iowa Falls School Parent Association and the Iowa Falls Band Boosters. Kathy is an active member of the Republican Central Committee. In their spare time, Raymond finds joy in bird watching and staying active, while Kathy immerses herself in the world of Christian fiction books, puzzles, and quality time with her grandchildren. Raymond Thomas Stockdale and Katherine Ann Kemp-Stockdale's journey is one of shared love, continuous learning, and the creation of a legacy that extends through their family and the communities they touch.
