Ethel Show was born July 17, 1917 in IowaFalls to John and Clara (Keninger) Hensing. She graduated from IowaFallsHigh School and HamiltonBusinessCollege. She served as a secretary both for a private business and for the Draft Board during World War II. She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary, the Iowa Falls Women’s Club and was a charter member of the Iowa Falls Historical Society. She enjoyed remodeling clothes for herself and others and also made dolls and doll clothing. In addition, she enjoyed painting and finishing porcelain. She passed away April 12, 2007 at the Scenic Manor Nursing Home. Raymond Show was born December 4, 1913 in Morrison, Iowa to Amos and Christine Tjaden Show. He graduated from ReinbeckHigh School. On July 14, 1938 he married Ethel R. Hensing at IowaFalls. He served in the U.S. in World War II. Upon his discharge, he was employed by the Rock Island Railroad as a clerk and later operated a barber shop in the Met Theatre building for many years. He was a long-time volunteer fireman and a member of Saint Marks Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, Kiwanis Club, American Legion Post #188, the Iowa State Fireman’s Association and a brother of the Railroad Association of Clerks. He passed away at EllsworthMunicipalHospital on August 26, 1984.
