Henry Jabusch was born July 7, 1914 in Springfield, Illinois. He married Arvilla Stoehr July 25, 1952 in Waterloo. He died June 7, 1977. Mr. Jabusch worked at Rath Packing Company for 28 years as shortening and products manager. He previously worked at Armour Packing Company. He was a graduate of Sidel Institute of Technology at Chicago, Illinois, and was a World War II Army veteran. Mrs. Jabusch graduated from Iowa Falls High School in 1933 and briefly attended Ellsworth Junior College before being offered a job with Northwestern Bell Telephone Company. She was employed by the company in Iowa Falls, Des Moines, Sioux City and Waterloo before retiring in February of 1980. She passed away on April 4, 2008. She has consistently provided financial support to Ellsworth Community College participating in the successful $1.715 million Second Century Challenge capital campaign, annual fund drives, and the Kruse-Main restoration. In 1993, she established the Henry Jabusch Endowed Scholarship in her husband’s memory.
